Personal info

Greetings and salutations.

At this moment, you might be thinking "Wow, this man's CV... I believe he is a super nerd!", and well, you may be right on that account, I am as nerdy as it gets, but do not let it cloud your vision to the fact that I put my heart and soul into everything I do.

I will not promise you that I will be an efficient piece of machinery who gets the job done perfectly, because I know myself, I know that I am bound to make mistakes somehow, I'm human after all (it even says so in the CV above), however, I will try to learn from these failures and rise to the occasion when I'm needed.

I am a really hardworking person, even in jobs where I do not feel confortable at all due to them not being what I aspire to do, they're still my job, so I will always give 100% of what I have. Needless to say that if I was working in something I love, I'd probably give every percentage of my being to make the job a success.

I am also my harshest critic, you won't see me delivering something unless I am sure that it meets my standards, that applies to everything, be it at work or even a Dungeons & Dragons campaign that I write (the latter happens a lot...).

That being said, I love creating other things, be it worlds, characters, anything really, and if you allow me to do it professionally, I wouldn't be able to thank you enough.

Work Experience

Worten (2014)

This was my first job, a small tech store, inside one of Portugal's most popular shopping mall, Centro Comercial Colombo.

It was a part-time job as a salesman, just selling computers, smartphones, consoles, anything really, I was studying at the time so this small job on the side was actually a pretty enjoyable experience.

Toys'R'Us (2015)

My part time job at Toys'R'Us was bittersweet, this because I was working as a greeter basically, I just stood in front of the door greeting people, asking if they had toys from other stores in their bags, pretty much security job... you can picture how people looked at me being a 1,90m (6'2) tall skinny teenager doing pretty much this kind of job, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Staples (2016)

Another part-time job (yes, another one, when you're studying there's really not much you can do to get a full time and still be able to attend classes). I was working in the copy and print department of this popular office material and tech store, also managed to pick up some basis for Illustrator and Photoshop while there.

Selplus - Asus (2017)

This was a job I actually enjoyed, I was working as a salesman for Asus through another company called Selplus. Basically i would be in a tech store (funilly enough, it was Worten again) selling Asus products and taking care of the maintenance and supply of said store when it came to Asus products, trying to figure out what sold well and ordering more from the provider. Best thing about this job was that we would go to Asus HQ here in Lisbon from time to time for meetings and check on products that would only be released in some months after that, being some of the first people to actually see them before the general public knew about them

SAMS Centro Clínico de Lisboa (2017 - currently)
Well, here you have it, my current job, as a recepcionist at a health clinic, definetly not my dream job, but I need some sort of income in my life... and for the first time in my work experience it's a full time job. Not gonna say I love it, but I don't hate it either. Yes there are definetly some worse moments than others but then you managed to help that person that is just really thankful to you for your help and it just blows the clouds away.

Freelance Artist (2017 - currently)

I started working as a freelance artist a few years ago, since then I've done a few character portrait commissions and some logo/brand work for instagram pages or gaming groups, nothing major that should be worth noticing, but some may be seen in my portfolio.

Education

Escola Secundária Fernando Namora

I finished highschool in the local school where I live as an arts student. Made friends, studied sometimes, got bad grades sometimes, but all in all I was an above average student, acing some classes like Drawing, English and Physical Education (aka Gym class).

Cine Reactor 24-I - Cinema Course
There was a time where I really thought that I wanted to be a movie producer, so I enroled a cinema course. Not gonna say I regret it, because I definetly do not. This course was pretty great and managed to pick up valuable skills that I will cherish forever and some of them that I am still able to use.

ETIC Escola de Tecnologias Inovação e Criação - Concept Art Course

This course... this was without a doubt the best educational experience of my entire life. My class was great and we were all
pretty friendly to one another, allways providing positive and constructive criticism to eachother's work. i learned Digital Painting here, despite dabling in it in the past, and also managed to polish my drawing skills and even learn propper methods of creating concepts for characters and everything else. I also experienced 3d modelling and found out that me and ZBrush are actually really good friends.

Cambridge School Lisboa

There was a time where I decided to become a certified proficient english speaker, so I decided to enroll in an English proficiency Course at Cambridge School in Lisbon so I could get a diploma. It's always good to say you can speak english, but it's even better when you have official documents that back that statement.

Sintagma Voice Acting / Dubbing Workshop

I decided to give voice acting and dubbing a try after fiddling with some voice effects for a while. I managed to participate in a workshop organized by Sintagma, a dubbing/translating company that works with various types of media, and renowned portuguese voice actor Quimbé. I do have to say, this experience was phenomenal and listening my voice in a character from one of my favorite shows felt just like a dream.
